Who is Hans Hofmann?

$10.00

Hofmann was an influential artist and art teacher who bridged the European and American shift in art world dominance.

His last school was located in Provincetown, Mass- and this project was inspired by my now annual summer trips to the area.

The teacher in me is also a student- and while creating this zine, I was thrilled to find myself in private collectors homes and suddenly in THE master’s home! This is a product of research and luck.

It serves as an homage to all the great art teachers in our lives.

This is a limited edition, 18 full-color pages of his background, teaching theories, legacy, and best known quotes. A double page spread of how to look at a Hofmann painting is included. There is also an interactive page for the art critic in you!
